How far in advance did you start planning your wedding?

We just got engaged and our families are already asking about dates! 😅 I'm wondering: what's the ideal timeline for wedding planning in Indonesia? Some venues I've checked are already booked for the next 12 months. Is it normal to plan 1-2 years ahead? What was YOUR timeline? And what do you wish you had done earlier?
